DHTML calendar...what...why?
The DHTML calendar uses javascript to generate a calendar which allows a user to more easily capture dates. The calendar is particularly suited to travel-based or accommodation websites when users pick travelling dates.
Our developers at Accommodation Direct searched the net for a decent, lightweight date picker and found them all to be either inefficient or expensive. We decided to develop our own and have included it here as a free download.

Why use the DHTML calendar from Accommodation Direct

  • (Laboriously) tested in all major browsers - FF2/3, IE6/7/8, Safari, Camino
Optional settings
The calendar comes with a few settings and you can control the look of the calendar via CSS classes.
Javascript options:
  • calformat - value can be either 1 or 2. 1 will show dates as dd/mm/yyyy and 2 will show them as yyyy-mm-dd
  • caldaystart - specify which day to start the calendar from (default is 0 - Sunday)


CSS Classes:
  • .caldayheader - days of week
  • .calmain - calendar container
  • .calheader - month
  • .caldaynormal - calendar day
  • .caldayselected - style of calendar day when selected
  • .caldaymouseover - style of calendar day when mouse is hovered over cell
